This book tells the true story of Joel Embiid, a boy from Cameroon who didn’t start playing basketball until he was 15 years old. He was inspired by a video of another African basketball player, Hakeem Olajuwon. Joel worked hard, moved to the United States and played college basketball at the University of Kansas. Life was not easy, he faced injuries, learned a new language and dealt with the loss of his younger brother. But he never gave up. He was chosen to play in the NBA for the Philadelphia 76ers. After more hard work and recovery, he became one of the best players in the league.

The book follows Leif’s exciting journey to a new land called Vinland, which is likely part of Canada today. It also teaches kids about Viking life—how they traveled the seas, explored new places and shared stories and myths.

This book tells the fun story of Chuck Jones, the man who helped make famous cartoons like Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, the Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote. When Chuck was a kid, he loved to draw and make people laugh. He worked hard and became a top cartoon maker at Warner Bros., where he made lots of silly and smart cartoons. The book also talks about Chuck’s childhood and how he kept going even when things were hard. He never gave up on his dream of being an artist. His cartoons were not just funny, they were full of creativity and fun ideas that made people smile.

She grew up in a big family that believed in learning and working hard. It shows how she was a smart and determined student who always dreamed big. The book talks about how Stacey became a lawyer, author and leader. It also explains how she ran for governor of Georgia. Even though she didn’t win, she didn’t give up. Instead, she worked to help more people vote and make sure everyone’s voice is heard.

It shows how he used his creativity and confidence to follow his dreams and how he faced and overcame many challenges. The book also talks about how he became a strong voice for being yourself and accepting others.

While Lowen is living there, she finds Verity’s unpublished autobiography where strange and mysterious things are revealed about her life.

It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover is a novel about Lily Bloom, a girl with a rough past, who falls in love with neurosurgeon - Ryle Kincaid. Their relationship grows and Lily begins to see Ryle’s darker, abusive side, taking her through flashbacks to her past. This book defines the complexities of abusive relationships, mainly the struggle to leave them as the love and emotional manipulation is hard to break away from. It explores Lily’s growth and strength to leave a toxic relationship.

Half-blood follows Alexandria, a 17 year old, who after the death of her mom is forced back into the world of the covenant. Alexandria trains to become a sentinel, a person who hunts daimons. Becoming a daimon is worse than death, but the threat of being turned is more prevalent than ever. This book is very similar to Vampire Academy, like the exact same premise but instead of vampires and moroi, they are half-bloods and pures.
